I truely beieve that when you do good things and help others the universe has a way of paying you in some waya. sometimes totally out of the blue good things will happen, perhaps veven a way to pay that elctricity bill.

I understand how hard things can be sometimes and how we feel so poweless to do anything about it. But by not dwelling on the negative, and trying to find the positive in life goes a long way to changing things.

God bless

I soooo agree with you about shopping locally. As a personal example, last summer my sister and I went berry picking at a u-pick blueberry farm and corn farm. The money went to local farmers, we had a good time and saved money!

Sorry to hear about freecycle and what its turned into where you are....so far we have a great bunch using it where I am.

Id like to add a link on my site to your blog and I invite you to view my blog, sounds like you and I have some of the same views and interests about life. :-)

Thank you for your comments. You made a very good point. You can be frugal and shop local. A lot of people feel that they can only find good prices at a big box store, but it is because they are "assuming" the little shops will be higher. I personally want to thank you for helping support a small family owned business.

Spending locally is a good thing to aim for. Here is my example. I had to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Rather than buying a Dyson at a box store, I bought a Miele at a local vacuum store that was on sale. It did not cost me much more, but it can be fixed locally instead of having to be shipped thousands of kilometers should anything go wrong. I can help a small family-owned business and have piece of mind while being frugal.

I think it was a good thing that you at least tried to heal your relationship with your mother. You can at least say that you tried and that is soooooo much better than leaving things too late and spending the resy of your life feeling guilty and wondering if.

I hope your year gets better, as no doubt it will, its just easier to think that it won't.

As for procrastination, well worry abou that tomorrow (get it)

I agree that at times when we attempt to do something weather new or old things frequently get in our way.

But I think it's actually when your on the brink of a new beginning that it is the hardest. Obstacles will get in the way and it's just plain easier to procrastinate.

So my advice to you and to me is to not look back and just keep going. In spite of whatever gets in the way just keep moving.

I once heard someone say you can't steer a ship unless it's moving. So even if you're going in the wrong direction you can at least begin to steer your life in the right direction.

Cheers
